About Clay Ward

All l could see was darkness and no hope. In 2018, as a Staff Sergeant while in the Air Force. I attempted suicide and was put in an inpatient facility where it started out as poems about how I felt. I never thought that one day it would be in a book. From there, I attempted suicide again, but my wife called me before I did. It has been a long journey, l got out of the Air Force, bounced around on construction crews, and l started my own business. I moved back to my hometown and started building a house. My mental health is much better, but there are tough days. I pray that this book shows you are not alone.

This collection is about my struggles and trials with depression, anxiety, and suicidal attempts. I continue on only by the grace of God and my family. I hope this book reaches at least one person who needs to know that they are not alone.
